Provide historically accurate information to students to help them study.
Students are able to understand the importance of learning from the mistakes of history in order to create a better future.
Following the First World War, the twentieth century witnessed the rise of single-party states led by authoritarian regimes. These regimes had deep-rooted social, political, and economic origins. They aimed to defend existing institutions and to keep all sections of society politically and organizationally passive. They maintained and consolidated power, censored dissenting political views, issued propaganda, oppressed social minority groups, and nationalized economies, with severe consequences that altered the future course of their respective nations. This website will provide information on several of these regimes' dictators, including their rise to power, ideologies, and political, economic, social, and international policies. Additionally, there will be student papers that provide a more in-depth analysis of each dictator.
